The college selection and admissions process can feel overwhelming for both students and parents. At College Advising Services, we provide personalized guidance to help students navigate high school with purpose, identify their strengths and interests, and make informed decisions about college and career.College Advising Services was founded by Rachel Lacey, whose career has been dedicated to helping students discover their path from high school to college and, ultimately, to a meaningful career.After earning her master’s degree from Texas Tech University, Rachel began her career as an Assistant Director of the Career Center at Texas Tech. There, she developed a passion for helping students connect their education and interests with their future goals. Since then, she has worked extensively with students at both the high school and college levels, helping them explore opportunities, plan for their futures, and navigate the transition from education to career.Rachel is currently licensed by the state of Arkansas in school counseling and teaching, with teaching licensure in English and Family and Consumer Sciences. She has also served as a college guidance counselor at two different high schools, giving her firsthand experience with the academic, personal, and college-planning challenges students and families face.With a unique combination of career development, school counseling, teaching, and college guidance experience, Rachel takes a career-minded approach to college planning. Her goal is not simply to help students get into college, but to help them identify the right path for who they are, where they want to go, and the future they hope to build.
